State Quarterly Meeting in Grand Rapids.
Resolution in Support of the Anti-War Movement sponsored by Paul Felton and the Detroit Green Party In the aftermath of the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and the subsequent invasion of Afghanistan, this State Quarterly Meeting of the Green Party of Michigan resolves that: 1) We condemn the attacks of September 11th. 2) We believe the perpetrators of these attacks should be brought to justice by means consistent with international law. 3) We oppose the bombing and invasion of Afghanistan. 4) We oppose infringements on our civil liberties. 5) We demand that social justice be the key principle of governmental economic assistance that aids working and poor people, not corporations. 6) We oppose racism, ethnic profiling, and in particular, the targeting of Islamic or Arabic people. 7) We encourage all Locals and members of the Green Party to become actively involved in the anti-war movement, as this is the most important issue in our country.
