Plans to Help Develop New Locals Through the Election Season I'll offer myself to visit groups, as best we can mesh schedules, and help support them through the founding/application process. (I hope to have help in this, as in other things, from my predecessors Kevin Henehan and Ken Young - but we haven't managed to meet yet to discuss this.) I'd also like to look at the updated member/contact lists, compare them with the campaign opportunities available for local and/or statewide candidates, and see if we can gather two or three (well, three at least) in the name of Greendom. Numbers of County and District Committees I don't have an independent list on this. I do know that at least all counties for which there were caucuses held, and all Congressional districts with candidates, should have committees. General Comments This report is incomplete at best - in large part because much of my time and energy have been spent lately on an issue I'd hoped would be resolved by now (the Marshall "Redskins"/recall flap). That shouldn't last past August 17, when we have a special election to fill the four recall-caused vacancies; while that task won't be over then even if sanity prevails, I think things will calm down at least somewhat electorally until next year. So I think I'll be able to do better next quarter . . . if you want to keep me on.
